A safe place to stay. Support for families. Counselling during difficult times. Assistance for seniors. Help for those experiencing homelessness.

These are just some of the ways Catholic Social Services supports vulnerable individuals and families across our community through its annual Sign of Hope Campaign. The campaign helps fund programs that provide hope, dignity, and practical support to people facing some of life's most difficult challenges.

For many years, Edmonton Catholic Schools and Catholic Social Services have shared a commitment to serving others.

A Special Role for ECSD

This year, the campaign has a special connection to Edmonton Catholic Schools. Chief Superintendent Lynnette Anderson is serving as Chair of the 2026 Sign of Hope Campaign, helping raise awareness of the many programs that support people in need across our community.

Supporting Those Who Need It Most

The Sign of Hope Campaign supports programs that provide:

• Emergency and transitional shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence
• Support for vulnerable and unhoused women
• Counselling services for children, youth, adults, couples, and families
• Employment readiness and community support programs
• Outreach services for individuals experiencing homelessness
• Assistance and advocacy for seniors at risk of abuse
• Support for vulnerable individuals facing crisis situations

Every day, these programs help people find safety, connection, healing, and hope. Through our partnership with Catholic Social Services, Edmonton Catholic Schools is proud to support this important work and the many individuals and families it serves.
